What We Do

MAG’s Planning Department oversees transportation planning and programming, policy, mapping, modeling and analytics, demographics, and air quality conformance. The Planning Department also oversees community requested plans and studies for the MAG region. Department staff work to ensure that our efforts are data driven and collaborative. We provide a forum for discussion and cooperation among local government representatives concerning region-wide issues, primarily focused on transportation and land use planning. The Planning Department has three divisions: Analytics, Community Planning, and Transportation.
